Moonlight Lodge has such stunning views you could be anywhere in the world! The most mesmerising and uninterrupted views out to sea and the beautiful Suffolk coastline, all the way to Southwold - these can be seen from inside the lodge or from the large extended decking area outside. This superb lodge is available for self catering holidays. Dunwich is absolutely ideal for countryside walks all year round and exploring the local traditional seaside towns. The lodge is over looking Dunwich Beach on Suffolk's Heritage Coastline with direct access via stairs to the beach and we are not far away from the RSPB Minsmere coastal nature reserve with wildlife bird watching and superb walking routes (maps are available in the Cliff House Reception).

DESCRIPTION

Moonlight is a superb brand new (2022) one bedroom (super king bed) holiday home situated on the cliff top in Dunwich, Suffolk. It comprises one double bedroom with en-suite modern shower room, double sofa bed - sleeping 4, 2 x couples/ family or a small group, a kitchen that has everything you need for your time away even with an espresso coffee machine and milk frothier, gas oven and hob, fridge & freezer and a dishwasher. The lounge is open plan with a well appointed kitchen, dining breakfast bar area, lounge sitting area with a 75 inch TV & Sonos sound system perfect for a “cinema” cosy night in or just fun watching films & tv. The TV is linked to a selection of streaming platforms including Netflix and Amazon video etc.  From Moonlight lodge walk along the cliff top and down the steps to discover the shingle beach which is perfect for picnics, BBQ’s or swimming and is never over-crowded

Cliffhouse Holiday Park has a superb bar and restaurant with local beers on offer (Adnams Ghost Ship is available!), wines and spirits. Called 'The 12 Lost Churches' a name that signifies the lost churches of the ancient city of Dunwich lost to the sea over a period of 150 years during the 11-1200's! The bar and restaurant offers lunch and dinner options all week and an outstanding Sunday roast.

The park also has a shop for any essentials needed, including fresh produce from local suppliers.

The RSPB Minsmere Bird Reserve as featured on BBC's Springwatch a few years ago, is a paradise for nature lovers and offers walkers and cyclists many scenic routes to explore. Within easy reach, you have the wonderful towns of Southwold (10 miles) and Aldeburgh (12 miles), both offering a variety of shops and eateries, and the Georgian village of Walberswick is just 9 miles away.

The former Capital of East Anglia Dunwich has a superb history to discover and features a really quaint village museum with information about the ancient city and we are surrounded by National Trust owned heath and woodlands where you can walk and see nature at its very best!
