Following on from the government’s guidance on social distancing in relation to COVID-19, people should avoid travelling unless essential.
Taken from gov.uk -
'This guidance is for people planning to visit second homes or holiday premises during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Essential travel does not include visits to second homes, camp sites, caravan parks or similar, whether for isolation purposes or holidays. People should remain in their primary residence. Not taking these steps puts additional pressure on communities and services that are already at risk.'
We are taking action to help slow the spread of the virus therefore our touring and camping pitches are now closed, self-catering holidays are closed, our bar and restaurant is closed. Our holiday home owners must refrain from visiting the park in line with the directive from the Government and all facilities are now off limits. This is a sad time and one of the most unprecedented events in all our lives and we haven’t taken this decision lightly.
We are expecting the Government to give us more guidance very shortly so we are working in advance of these announcements. We expect a clear message that holiday and touring parks must not stay open for business as usual. We hope there will also be some guidance about those using holiday caravans as their home or that have nowhere else to go at this time.
The time for you to leave in a safe and orderly way is limited. If there is any reason why you cannot leave, you need to discuss that with us now.
Over the last 24 hours, there has been an increasing and understandable concern in local communities towards the owners of second homes and caravans, as well as holiday visitors. The government’s clear guidance is that there must be no unnecessary or non-essential travel.
Please keep safe and maintain social distancing, we hope to see you all soon.
